Discussed the venture trip to the Edisto River - cost $45 - leave Friday afternoon 4/4/08 and return on Sunday afternoon. Leaders going: John McLeod, Joe Digregorio and John Dorner - John Dorner will be traveling from Statesville and will not be here by 4:00.

John McLeod gave a brief update on the van insurance situation.

Discussed the requirement for "Active participation" for advancement.

The requirement states: "Be active in your troop and patrol for at least [4 or 6] months as a [current rank] Scout."

We decided on the following requirements:

• Scout must attend 75% of the meetings and 50% of the troop outings.
• It needs to be continuous active participation during the scouts rank.  (not a month here and there)
• OA participation does not count towards this requirement as it is not "troop and patrol".

We discussed requiring the active participation to be for the period previous to getting this requirement signed off, but decided against it.

Scott Elliott will be moving to the New Scouts

Bill Pauer will be taking charge of the Mountaineers.
