"Active in troop and patrol" Requirement


 


Continued discussing this requirement.  Decided to keep the 75% of meetings and 50% of outings requirement, but added some flexibility at the descression of the SM to take other activities such as participating in service projects, etc. into account.


 


Also decided to allow some grace period for the current rank.


 


John is to email message to parents & make another announcement at the next meeting.

We will recommend to the PLC that the older scout programs not necessarily be geared towards completing a merit badge, but rather teaching skills.  It is too difficult and takes too long to get a large number of boys to work on a single merit badge all at one time in 20 minute
